Slow Cooker Chicken Marrakesh

This easy dinner will simmer in your crockpot all day, filling your home with aromas of Moroccan spices and tender chicken from this delicious stew. Serve over rice and add a simple salad to complete your meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless uncooked chicken, cut into chunks
  • 1 medium sweet onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 – 15oz can Garbanzo Beans (drain and rinse)
  • Vegetables – add your favorites up to 3-4 cups
    • Carrots, diced
    • Sweet potatoes, cubed
    • Baby potatoes, halved
    • Zucchini, cubed
    • Bell peppers, diced
    • Mushrooms
    • etc
  • 2 tsp Besar
  • 1 tsp dried Parsley
  • 1 tsp Bourbon Barrel Smoked Salt
  • 1 – 14 .5 oz can diced tomatoes

Instructions

  • In a crockpot, combine the chicken, vegetables, and beans
  • Sprinkle Besar, Parsley, and salt over the chicken mixture
  • Pour in the tomatoes
  • Cook on high 4-5 hours – until chicken is done, veggies are tender, and sauce has thickened
  • Serve over rice
  • Garnish with green onion, diced peppers, or fresh herbs
