Chocolate Chile Hot Wings

Reminiscent of mexican molé, these decadent spicy hot wings combine citrus olive oil, rich chocolate balsamic, and a delightful chile spice blend that will make your taste buds cheer. Perfect for your next game day.

Ingredients

  • 12 chicken wings
  • ½ c Blood Orange extra virgin olive oil (or try Citrus Habanero)
  • ½ c Chocolate Balsamic (or try Chocolate White with Habanero)
  • 6 oz Tomato paste
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced (or 1 tsp dry minced Garlic)
  • 1+ Tbls Mexican Chile Seasoning (to your taste)
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt (try your favorite flavor)
  • ¼+ tsp Cayenne (to your taste)

Instructions

Set aside the wings and whisk together all other ingredients. Pour into a large ziplock bag, add the wings and toss to coat well. Let marinate in the refrigerator for at least one hour.

Preheat oven to 425˚. Remove the wings from the marinade and place on a foil lined cookie sheet, spaced so they don’t touch. Bake 30 min, until browned. While they cook, pour the marinade into a pot large enough to hold the wings and heat until bubbling. When the wings are done, add them to the marinade and stir to coat. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
