Chicken Tikka Masala for the Slow Cooker

Ingredients

Directions

  • Heat the olive oil in a saute pan over medium-high heat. Add the onion and cook until tender, then add garlic, ginger, Kashmiri Garam Masala, Cumin, and Piri Piri Seasoning and cook for about 1 minute.
  • Add the tomato puree and cook for another minute while stirring and scraping up all brown bits, then transfer to slow cooker.
  • Stir in the Greek yogurt
  • Add the chicken to the pot, stir to coat.
  • Add Bay leaves
  • Cook on low for at least 6 hours
  • Add the cream or coconut milk and cook on high, uncovered, for an additional 30 minutes
  • Serve with naan or rice and garnish with cilantro
