Based on the popular spices in Mexico’s Yucatan peninsula, this rich red spice blend will add earthy flavors to fish, chicken, or pork. It can also be made into a delicious achiote paste and used to flavor soups, stews, rice, and more.
Use 1-2 Tbls per pound of chicken, pork, or seafood. Season well, refrigerate for at least 30 min. Sprinkle on vegetables or corn on the cob.
Make your own Achiote Paste by mixing with orange juice, lime juice or your favorite oil or vinegar until desired thickness.
