Chimichurri is a South and Central American sauce used for grilled meat with a fabulous fresh herby flavor.
To prepare Chimichurri sauce simply combine 3 Tbs. Chimichurri Seasoning, 3 Tbs. olive oil (try Fresh Harvest Garlic), 1 Tbs. water, 1/2 tsp. vinegar (try Lemon Balsamic or Jalapeno Lime Balsamic) and 1/2 tsp. lemon juice. Serve with grilled steak. Or use as a dressing for potato or pasta salad.
For a wonderful appetizer, mix your chimichurri sauce with 1 c shredded cheddar cheese and 1/2 c softened butter. Store in a covered container in your fridge for at least 48 hours, then let soften to room temperature and serve with crackers or crostini.
